The Life of Paddy
After a long time, I am planning to write a short story about how does the Rice we eat every day comes in to our plate after crossing various stages from birth to death. Let’s discuss in details.
The most crucial part in planting is preparing the land. Especially preparing land for paddy required more effort than planting other plants.
State One: Softning the soil and planting baby paddy.
Process will start with softning the soil either using bulls or tractors. After that filed will be filled with water about 1 week (Image — 1), mean while they choose certain amount of area in the field ( Image — 2) to plant and get a baby paddy. State one takes around maximum of 2 weeks.
The Grown baby paddy:
Stage two: Plugging out the baby paddy and planting :-
Once the baby paddy grown for 2 weeks, formers will plug it out and plant it again the actual field ( image above ) with certain amount space among them. This space is crucial because each and every paddy needs to get equivalent amount of water and fertilizers to grow. This will take at most 3 days.
Stage 3: Taking care of paddy like baby :-
Once stage-2 process completed, extreme care needs to taken. After 15 days of planting need add some more fertilizer and little amount of pesticide. After 30 days paddy will grow and starts to reveal paddy flower. This is will looks beautifully like below
After 45 days again one round of pouring fertilizers on the paddy is necessary. If required pesticides also get poured to save paddy from insects. After 60 days flower will become milky and will grow in size, will look like this
After 75 days paddy is grown well and start to changes it color from green to brown will start to bend down towards ground.
After 90 days, will grow completely and will change its color completely to brown. This will attract many birds and insects, give life to them as well as to us. Well Grown paddy.
After 100 days Reaping of paddy will start. Reaped out paddy field.
After reaping, they collect all the paddy in one place to pack.
After reaping paddy will go to mill where machines will peel the paddy gives us only the rice.
Before sell all paddy, formers will take some amount of it to plant next.
This is the Life cycle of Paddy.
The End.
